Back in Iowa!

We recently got home from another trip to Iowa, but this time Chad got to come along. We had originally planned a quick weekend trip for our niece and Goddaughter Aubree's baptism, however we ended up being home for over a week. On Thanksgiving we found out that Chad's brother, David, would have to undergo brain surgery to remove a tumor. Thankfully the surgery went well and he is home recovering, awaiting the coming weeks of chemo and radiation. Please keep him in your prayers as he fights off the cancer! We spent the week at Mayo with Grandma and Grandpa Huhn and Uncle David. Even though we tried to keep Greta busy and quiet so as not to aggravate the headache her uncle had, she is always a ray of sunshine who can brighten up a room with her smile. We really hope she did that for them!
The rest of our trip, we managed to take a few pictures. Saturday night we finally got to attend a Bruggeman Christmas hosted by my aunt Mary! It was fun to catch up with all our relatives we haven't seen in a while and let Greta play with her cousins... and we can't forget the Horsey Lady (Laurie!). Sunday was full of more celebrations- at church Aubree was baptized with Chad and I lucky to be Godparents! Then we had a brunch in St. Ansgar followed by a little Christmas gift opening with Jerry, David, Connor and Lucas!
We feel truly blessed to have such amazing families to share the holidays with! Here are just a few of the pictures we took from our time in Iowa and Minnesota! Oh, and the clock is our gift from Grandpa Bruggeman for Christmas! We can't wait to get the clock and the toy box he made for Greta's birthday home with us... soon!
